What if the Aswang walked among us?

The Aswang, known as the Philippines version of vampires. Are said to hide amongst humans during the day while then feasting on them at night. The Aswang can shape shift into humans and are also known to shape shift into animals. The reason they are compared to vampires is because of the shared ability to suck out blood but instead of using fangs they have a long tongue that they use on their victims to suck out their blood as well as parts of their body parts.

So “What if Aswang walked amongst us?” if this were the case the world would be a much more dangerous place as going out at night would be a great risk and there would be strict laws about certain areas one is allowed to go at night. This speculation is implying that there would be many Aswang lurking around not just a few and would regular go looking for a meal.

Police and security would have a larger role to play in this case and would have special training for such encounters.

On top of this it would be hard to distinguish them as they have the ability to shape shift, people would be less willing to trust one and other in fear of them being an Aswang.

There is a possibility that the government would try and recruit Aswang so that they would help them with other Aswang, much like a fantasy story, this would mean that even the good Aswang would have to feast, but this would be seen as a smart investment as they would be able to have the upper hand against the hungry Aswang that enjoy feasting on humans, which is what the government would want. In short, the world would be a much darker place, but it would also help with evolution as scientists will be able to study their bodies to further advance the human race.
